CTN Best Supporting Player Award

VIA NHL.com

"To be eligible for consideration for a CTN Best Supporting Player Award, a player must have played at least 10 games so far and cannot average more than 10 minutes of ice time per game. These are the true unsung heroes -- the guys that work the walls, bang bodies, battle in the crease area, block shots, win faceoffs -- that make the most of every second of playing time they earn from the coaching staff. Because of the on-ice minutes cutoff, we only considered forwards for this edition of the list."

"For now, here are 20 players that CTN would take on its team any day of the week."

One of those guys is.....Jordinnnn Toooootooooooooo!

Why?

"One of the game's premier agitators, Tootoo has the ability to draw retaliation penalties like very few players in the League. His motor is always running and he has a team-high 27 hits. He is an integral part of the Preds' success this season, providing some of the grit that counters the skill the top-end players provide. To earn more ice time, however, Tootoo must become better in his own zone."

Comments:
Just for your information, here's what coach Trotz said after the 6-0 victory over Vancouver:

"We had good focus and good energy," Trotz said. "We had some jump. Early on it was the young guys like Radulov and Jordin Tootoo that got us going."

CTN Best Supporting Player Award?? No, Jordin for Prime Minister!
